Privacy and accessibility

This is the website of Cynthia Varela, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, Sales Associate with United Real Estate New Jersey. On this page, “I” and “me” mean Cynthia. I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their advertising or marketing.

The site collects information only when you send one of its three forms:

• Start a conversation

  The pop-up on every page, and the form on the Contact page

  What it asks for

  Your first and last name, an email address or a phone number, and your message.

  Why

  So I can answer your message.

• Consultation request

  “Book a consultation,” on any page

  What it asks for

  Your first and last name, email address and phone number; whether you’re buying, selling, both or not sure yet; and the times that usually suit you.

  Why

  So I can get back to you with times for a consultation.

• First-Time Buyer Guide request

  What it asks for

  Your first and last name and your email address.

  Why

  So I can email you the guide myself. I may follow up about buying a home; reply “stop” anytime and I won’t email you again.

Each form also sends the address of the page you sent it from, so I know what you were reading. Please don’t include account numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords in a message.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and runs its forms. When you send a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person sent it, not an automated program; it looks at technical details from your browser, such as your IP address and browser type, only for that check (Turnstile privacy notice, Cloudflare privacy policy).
• Pushover delivers each request to my phone as a notification (Pushover privacy policy).
• Resend emails each request to my business inbox, cynthia@homeswithcynthia.com (Resend privacy policy).
• United Real Estate New Jersey, the brokerage I work under, may see our correspondence as part of supervising my work.

Otherwise I share your information only to help you buy or sell, with people you ask me to involve, or when the law requires it.

The site itself keeps nothing: what you send comes straight to me and isn’t stored on the site’s server, and the site’s own logs record only that a form was sent and whether it went through, never what you wrote. Copies stay in my Pushover notifications and my email, and in our emails if I write back, until I delete them. I delete requests I no longer need, and I’ll delete yours sooner if you ask. Cloudflare, Pushover and Resend keep their own records as their policies describe.

You can ask me for a copy of what you sent, to correct it or to delete it, and you can ask me to stop contacting you at any time. Email, call or text me, or call the office. I usually reply within a day.

The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers, so nothing on it follows you to other sites. It treats every visit the same, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Its fonts are served from the site itself, so no font service sees your visit. Cloudflare’s Turnstile check loads only with a form and stores only what it needs to tell people from automated programs.

One small exception: when you choose a county or town on a map, your browser keeps a one-time note so the next page can play the map’s zoom. That page reads the note and deletes it, and it never leaves your device. If I ever add visitor statistics, I’ll update this page first.

I want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or magnification. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Nothing on it moves on its own except the homepage’s background video, which has a pause button and doesn’t play if your device asks for reduced motion.

If anything on the site is hard to use, please tell me which page and what happened, by email, phone or text (above). I’ll get you the information another way and work on a fix. I usually reply within a day.
